Many of our neighbors say they’d consider selling their high-priced homes in Los Gatos and Monte Sereno “… but where would we go?” Each month our market report will showcase a high-quality residential destination where weather, lifestyle, personal security, tax environment, home price and potential appreciation offer an alternative that’s worth your consideration. Some will be in California and others out-of-state.

This month we feature Pebble Creek in the greater Phoenix area. Developed by the respected builder, Robson Resort Communities, this active community for those over 55 offers more than 25 models of new homes priced from $325,000 to $890,000 (typically less than $280 per square foot). There are too many amenities to recite in this Market Report, but here’s a link to the Pebble Creek website: https://www.robson.com/communities/pebblecreek/

We note that Greater Phoenix boasts a major international airport, five professional sports teams (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL and MLS), a great university, 300 sunny days each year, a strong economy, much lower cost of living and a low state income tax.

Future reports could include a profile of other major cities like Seattle, Portland, Austin, Colorado Springs, Boise, Salt Lake City, Spokane and Tucson. We’ll also investigate some of the top-selling master planned communities in the country like Lakewood Ranch (Florida), Summerlin (Nevada), Cane Bay Plantation (South Carolina), Mission Ridge (Texas), RainDance (Colorado) and Great Park (California). Finally, we’ll do our very best to profile some of the smaller cities and towns in California that offer wonderful lifestyles including Del Mar, Indian Wells, Carmel, Larkspur, Laguna Woods and Pacific Grove.

Let us know if there’s a place you’d like to know more about. We’d love to hear from you.

Kind Words From a Happy Client

Our Los Gatos friends, Charles and family, have purchased a home at Pebble Creek. Here’s what Charles has to say about this community:

Our family purchased our home about 5 years ago in Pebble Creek. We were able to select our homesite and chose a plan to customize. The selections and options were fun and inexpensive compared to Bay Area pricing. We are not close to retiring, but we wanted a home to get away for long weekends and holidays. This is an active lifestyle community and the resort-style amenities are a great value for the yearly HOA fees.
